One of Australia's largest hospitality groups is joining the Fluro network.
We're proud to announce that Fluro is rolling out across Black Rhino Group venues in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland - a 50+ venue partnership and the largest single rollout in Fluro's history.
About the Group
Black Rhino Group operates a portfolio of more than 50 hotels and pubs across three states. Their venues specialise in family bistros, sports bars, gaming, retail liquor, entertainment and accommodation - the venues that sit at the heart of Australian community life.
The group is built on three pillars: cold beer, good food, and welcoming spaces. Their mission is straightforward - to be their punters' favourite local.
It's a mission Fluro fits naturally. Locals are exactly where charging infrastructure needs to be, because locals are where people spend the parts of their week that depend most on a working phone - the Friday night, the post-work pint, the family bistro lunch, the Saturday footy.
The Scale
This is a big rollout. Black Rhino's footprint covers metro Melbourne (Richmond Social, Court Jester Prahran, Courthouse Footscray, Royal Oak Cheltenham, Ivanhoe Hotel and more), regional Victoria (Craig's Royal Hotel in Ballarat, Hotel Shamrock in Bendigo, Grand Hotel Mornington, Victoria Hotel Shepparton), South Australia (Newmarket Hotel Port Adelaide, Black Rhino Hotel North Adelaide, Desert Cave and Opal Inn in Coober Pedy), and Queensland (Royal 99 in Roma, Overlander in Mount Isa, Hotel Hinchinbrook in Ingham).
For Fluro, partnering at this scale means stations going live in places people genuinely live their lives - regional towns where the pub is the social centre, metro suburbs where the local is part of the weekly routine, and outback hotels where reliable phone connectivity actually matters.
What Patrons Experience
Tap, charge, keep going.
The QR code on the station opens to a browser-based rental flow - no app download, no account creation. Pay with Apple Pay or card and the power bank is yours.
If your phone is already dead, the tap-and-go feature handles that too. Use a physical bank card on the station and walk away with a charge. A flat phone shouldn't lock you out of the only thing that fixes a flat phone.
Return at any Fluro station - back at the same venue, in another town, interstate, or anywhere across our 1,000+ station network in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
Why It Works
For Black Rhino's venues, the Fluro partnership is operationally invisible. No upfront cost. No restocking. No staff training beyond a quick walkthrough. Stations are monitored remotely and serviced by our team.
For staff, it removes one of hospitality's quiet recurring requests - patrons asking to charge their phone behind the bar. For patrons, it means more time at the venue and a phone that works when they need it most.
What's Next
Black Rhino Group is one of three iconic Australian hospitality partners joining the Fluro network this quarter. The partnership is part of significant growth as we move from around 1,000 active stations to a planned 3,000+ across Australasia in the next 12 months.
For 50+ venues across cities, regional towns, and remote outback locations - charging is now just part of the experience.
